About the Event
If you have ever seen TV shows or movies like Boyz in the Hood, Juice, New Jack City, The Wire, Good Times, or The Chi you have seen a rewind of the traumas experiened in the hood. It just hasn't been diagnosed as trauma until now.
Baba Makanjuola grew up in South Central Los Angeles. Baba has lost dozens of friends and family to the grave or the cage. Baba has first hand understanding of the confines of poverty as a result of growing up in the house of a county recipiant his whole life.
The hood is where we celebrate the babayshower before the wedding. Being a baby daddy or mother is an expectation verses being father, mother, husband, or wife.
Hood life is celebrated and placed on display now at the Superbowl. The one day of the year with the most eyeballs glued to their TV screen.
My question is, what are the lasting affects of this lifestyle? How does this lifestyle translate in the world of business, relationships, and overall perception of the world.
Baba Makanjuola wants to discuss this phenominon in the hopes of shedding light on how to identify PTHD, and more importantly real the top 5 methods of ridding yourself of that mindset.
